Connor Chin, Project Manager

Our team is composed of a diverse group of people who come together to achieve this shared mission. To give a glimpse into our culture and highlight the diversity of our team, we’ve asked Connor Chin, Project Manager, to share more about his experience working at Protenus.

What your role at Protenus, and what do you do?

I’m a Project Manager responsible for managing customer implementations of the Protenus platform. I also handle the technical aspects of a typical project (e.g. data validation) and can fully lead an implementation from start to finish.

What did you do before coming to Protenus? 

I worked at a healthcare software company specializing in automated physician scheduling, where I primarily managed implementations of the software.

What initially attracted you to Protenus? 

The opportunity to work at a promising tech start-up and grow my skill set.

What's your favorite part of your job? 

I enjoy the process of working through an implementation and preparing customers to use our platform. Also, we have some of the brightest employees around, and I am always eager to learn from them. However, the best part of this job has to be the 10 minute walk to the office and the ability to work remotely during the pandemic.

What's the most important thing you've learned since starting at Protenus? 

Open communication is key to success and happiness. If you don’t voice your opinions and concerns, you won’t feel like you have a voice in the company and that limits your growth.

How has working at Protenus impacted your career?

Working at Protenus has given me exposure to a variety of sectors within the tech industry. It’s helping me to better understand my real career interests I want to pursue in the future.

What has surprised you the most about working at Protenus?

How well a company can adjust to working completely remotely. Like many other businesses, COVID-19 forced us to shut down our office and transition to working from home. I am proud of how well our company has operated since the pandemic began; it reinforces that Protenus is continuing to grow and succeed - even in an uncertain environment.
